FISH FARM MANAGEMENT

Fish Farmers

Water quality is crucial for aquaculture. Our main aim is to curb the elevated levels of bacteria in water bodies to ensure your produce is healthy and your business is sustainable. This is done by increasing Dissolved Oxygen levels in the water through our innovative nanobubble technology. Thus the aquatic creatures such as fish and shrimp receive higher amounts of oxygen and grow in size and quality as well.

Fish and shrimps are dependent on the water they live in for all their needs, including breathing, eating, reproducing and growing. Inadequate water quality causes more losses than any other problem and to a great extent water quality determines the success or failure of any farming operation.

The aquatic environment is composed of many aquatic variables. Farmers must know the variables that are potential sources of stress for the fish since these variables may also explain the causes of fish culture problems. Water quality parameters, which are of prime importance, are mainly temperature, salinity, turbidity, oxygen, CO2, nitrogen, ammonia, pH, alkalinity, hardness, minerals etc. Proper management consists also of monitoring the ponds regularly, keeping good records and planning for the operation of your farm. Most likely, a pond with good water quality will produce more and healthier animals than a pond with poor quality.

Imagine a pond or lake as a stunning aquatic fish tank. Just like you need a filter and aerator for a fish tank, a pond or lake needs clean, oxygen-rich water. We achieve this by adding air to the water through aeration and carefully monitoring the water’s pH levels to ensure they are just right—not too acidic or too basic—so that aquatic life and plants can thrive.
Pond and lake weeds grow excessively due to nutrient overload from fertilizers, animal waste, and decaying plants and debris, which act like plant food. Sunlight penetration and shallow, warm waters further encourage their growth, especially in stagnant conditions with little water flow. Limited water flow in a lake or pond can cause harm by promoting stagnation, oxygen depletion, nutrient buildup, temperature fluctuations, and habitat degradation, ultimately compromising aquatic health and biodiversity. Invasive species introduced into the ecosystem can rapidly spread, outcompeting native

plants. Efforts to manage these factors, including reducing nutrient input and improving water circulation, are crucial for controlling weed proliferation. Finally, the success any culture system is no longer a question of a single approach. The success will only by achieved when all the aspects regarding water management are tightly linked to a feed and farm management and strong biosecurity practices.
